Condolences for the sculptor Michele Le Pape

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our member, the artist and sculptor Michele Le Pape (Paris, 02-14-1944 – Barcelona 03-28-2024). Michele stood out for her unwavering passion for artistic creation and her deep commitment to creative expression.

During her childhood, she was fascinated by experimenting with color mixtures and textures. As a teenager she spent a lot of free time visiting the Louvre Museum and decided to train in drawing and painting. At the age of twenty she arrives in Barcelona. After a few years, she entered the Sant Jordi Faculty of Fine Arts and graduated in painting.

During the last few years she has made the leap to three dimensions, incorporating sculpture into her artistic work, as we could see in the recent exhibition in Corbera d'Ebre.

The wake will take place at the Mataró Mortuary tomorrow, Saturday morning, and the burial will take place on Sunday in Premià de Mar.

The ICRE Board and the colleagues of the association want to send our condolences to her family, friends and relatives.
