ICRE Gathering – Dialogues with Noemí Palacios

On Tuesday, September 26, we will have a new session of the ICRE gatherings. This time we will talk to the sculptor Noemí Palacios.

The activity will take place at 7:00 p.m., at the Cercle Artístic de Barcelona (Sala del Brindis, 3rd floor), on calle dels Arcs, 5, in Barcelona.

During the gathering, drinks can be consumed that will be purchased at the Círculo bar.

The work of Noemí Palacios awakens in us that irrepressible invitation to touch, to perceive its form in all its dimensions.

She graduated in the specialty of sculpture at the "La Llotja" high school of art. She later worked for years in the workshop of the sculptor Mariano Andrés Vilella, deepening the craft of stone carving.

She has participated in more than 15 international stone and snow sculpture symposiums in Italy, Michigan (USA), Colorado (USA), Yukon (Canada), Saint Beat (France), Czech Republic...

Her public works can be found in France, Italy, Prague, Asturias, Almería, León, Lleida or Switzerland. She has been awarded in several competitions and biennials such as the Buñol Biennial (Valencia), San Piero a Sieve Award (Florence, Italy), Sculpture Symposium of Gijon, Leon and Almería.

She has participated in art fairs in Paris, Genoa or Vigo and individual exhibitions in Toulouse, Madrid, Barcelona, Manresa, Sant Adrià del Besòs, Sant Celoni...

She currently combines the creation of public stone works outside of Spain with teaching, giving monographic courses on stone sculpture.
