In December 2020, the Catalan Institute for Sculpture Research (ICRE www.icre.cat) convened the II International Sculpture Contest with the aim of promoting sculpture creation, this year with the theme of “silence”.
On May 25th, an independent jury made up of Mr. Gerard Mas (sculptor), Ms. Judit Subirachs (art historian) and Mr. Àlex Susanna, (art director of the Fundació Vila Casas), reached after a intense deliberation, the unanimous decision to select from a total of 72 participants, sculptors of 9 nationalities, the following 24 finalists:

The 24 sculptures will be exhibited from June 17th to July 17th in the Cloister of the Ancient Monastery of Sant Pau del Camp (C. de San Pau, 99, 08001 Barcelona). The First and Second Prize, endowed with €1,500 and €500 respectively, will be announced on June 17th at 8:00 p.m., at the opening of the exhibition.
The opening ceremony will take place in the Church of San Pau del Campo, along with a concert of baroque music performed by Christina Köch, soprano, César Femenia, trumpet and Lluís Avendaño, organ.
The exhibition will remain open the following days and hours:
June Fr 18 - Sat 19 / June Fr 25 - Sat 26 / July Th 1 - Fr 2 - Sat 3 / July Th 8 - Fr 9 - Sat 10 / July Th 15 - Fr16 - Sat 17, 4-8 pm.
