Sculpture Workshop in Pedraza, Segovia

Mer Jimenez (ICRE member) will lead the 4th Sculpture Workshop with the sponsorship of the MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) which will take place from 12 to 18 September this year in Pedraza, Segovia.

We present the 4th Sculpture Workshop, with Mer Jimenez as director of the course and the MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) as sponsor of the activity that will take place from September 8 to 14 this year in Turégano, Segovia.

This year the work center will be at La Hotel El Zaguán. We will dedicate 6 days to the realization of a sculpture modeled in refractory clay. Working in the mornings from 10am to 2pm and in the afternoons visiting the surroundings of the province of Segovia.

We will have the presence of a model that will pose for the students, and thus be able to observe the anatomy of the human body and its structure, reinforcing the ability to observe lines and shapes, as well as the personal creativity of each one.

Place

The workshop will take place at the Hotel La Posada el Zaguán, which is located in Turégano and offers impressive views of the medieval castle.

Schedule

The workshop will be held from 10 in the morning to 2 noon. We will eat at the hotel and in the afternoons the following cultural activities:

Wednesday 8: arrival at the Hotel and settle in. Dinner on your own.
Thursday 9: Guided Visit to Sepúlveda. Dinner on your own.
Friday 10: Visit to Segovia. Dinner at the Jose María restaurant, the famous baked suckling pig.
Saturday 11: Excursion to the Hoces del Duratón. Dinner on your own.
Sunday 12: Visit to the Royal Glass Factory in La Granja de San Ildefonso. Ride with vintage cars. Dinner "barnacle" and octopus (if the sea allows it), in a private farm.
Monday 13: Visit to Pedraza. Diploma delivery at dinner. Gala dinner of the famous Segovian baked lamb.
Tuesday 14: Pick up and return home.

Prices

The price per person is € 1,050.

Tuition: € 500

Remaining payment: € 550 at the end of July

It includes:

Sculpture course, materials, apron and natural model.
6 nights accommodation with breakfast and lunch.
Appetizer at mid-morning.
Three special dinners (Suckling Pig, Percebada and Lamb).
Two assistants during the course and transfer of the works to Barcelona.
