Polychromy workshop with Tomàs Barceló

On June 3, ICRE is organizing a theoretical workshop on polychromy in sculpture directed by the artist Tomàs Barceló Castela.

The day will be developed according to the following approach:
Color and Form: polychromy in sculpture.
1- Introduction: my path towards polychromy.
2- Brief history of polychromy. Why are serious sculptures not painted?
3- Knowing color: Color Theory for sculptors.
4- Color and Shape. How are the two languages related?
5- Materials and Basic Techniques
6- Examples and specific cases (on video)

Place: Old Monastery of Sant Pau del Camp, Abat Safont Room – (Calle de Sant Pau, 99, Barcelona)
Day: Saturday, June 3, 2023
Hours: from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Registration: €20 for ICRE members and €45 for non-members.
