The Ateneu Barcelonès wants to pay tribute to the epistolary genre and friendship on 16 February. Artists, poets and art critics are invited to outline, by letter, a network of fascinating relationships. The central figure is the sculptor Enric Casanovas (1882-1948) and the starting point, the mythical Paris of the early twentieth century. Back in Catalonia, attendance at social gatherings will become another anchor point for friendship.
The talk will be given by Susanna Portell Soldevila (art historian) and Bernat Puigdollers (speaker of the Visual Arts section of the Ateneu Barcelonès).
The event is public but capacity is limited (following anti-covid rules). It can also be followed live on YouTube.
